Rooted in Culture. Centered on You.
Supporting BIPOC individuals through Trauma-Informed therapy for anxiety, depression, grief and life’s challenging seasons. You don’t have to carry this alone.
You spend so much time showing up for everyone else. What would it look like to show up for yourself?
About Luwam Kidane
A Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I bring over 10 years of experience working across community mental health and school-based settings, supporting adolescents, young adults, and families through a variety of mental health challenges.
As a East African therapist serving BIPOC communities— I recognize that discussing mental health, trauma, and emotional well-being can sometimes feel difficult, particularly in communities where these conversations have not always been openly encouraged. These perspectives have shaped my passion for creating a culturally responsive, trauma-informed space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment.
Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll explore the experiences and patterns that may be impacting your emotional well-being and relationships. My approach is compassionate, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
I strive to make room for honest conversations, emotional exploration, and healing at a pace that feels comfortable for each individual. Having grown up in the community i serve, this work holds a special place in my heart. I take pride in building meaningful connections, fostering relationships, and contributing to the well-being of the very community that has shaped me. Ultimately, I hope to support individuals in moving from simply surviving to truly thriving.
“I show up as a real person first, because i believe authenticity and genuine connection is the start to meaningful change & healing.”
